Built by Paula. Delivered by a network of senior healthcare experts

Paula Boylan drew on twenty-five years across clinical care, leadership, and finance to build Expertly Done — and a curated network of senior healthcare experts who deliver the work.

The origin

Why Expertly Done exists

Healthcare leaders carry a particular kind of pressure — work caught between vendor commitments and operational reality, decisions that stall when ownership sits between departments, tasks absorbed at night because no role was built to hold them.

The usual options make it worse: large engagements are disruptive and hard to unwind; internal absorption breeds drift, overload, and hidden cost.

Most real pressure sits between those extremes.

That gap — between ALL and NONE — is what Expertly Done fills. We execute defined work during a spike, so leaders keep their teams, their authority, and their outcomes — then stabilize, leave structure behind, and exit.

Our mission is simple: to foster inclusive, authentic partnerships that empower healthcare delivery champions and transform organizations.

About Paula

Clinical, leadership, and finance — Paula has worked inside all three

Each one shapes how Expertly Done works — so your organization is understood from every angle, not just one.

Clinical depth

A decade at the bedside

Ten years of hands-on patient care across virtually every acute care environment — from ICU and Level 1 trauma to medical-surgical, telemetry, and psych.

From 900-bed academic medical centers to critical access facilities, coast to coast. Travel nursing was a deliberate choice to develop range across every facility type, staffing model, and level of acuity — before ever stepping into leadership. It is why vendors cannot overstate readiness, and why our training maps to real shift-level workflow, not theoretical best practice.

01

Leadership at scale

Fifteen years inside the work

Fifteen years of onsite turnaround and stabilization work as a senior nursing consultant and president.

Joint Commission readiness established from scratch. CMS findings cleared with zero deficiencies on resurvey. HCAHPS improvement across every question. Productivity restored, overtime reduced, leaders developed, regulatory deadlines met. The work was done alongside the teams doing it, not from a conference room.

02

Business discipline

A decade in corporate finance

Before healthcare: senior financial operations analyst at Digital Equipment Corporation, leading forecasting and SEC reporting across a $100 million portfolio spanning 13 country sectors, plus project management across the US and Europe — site acquisitions, lease negotiations, large system implementations.

Healthcare leaders defend every dollar of outside spend. Understanding budget structure, cost defensibility, and the financial logic CFOs and finance committees need before authorizing support shapes every engagement.
